Some rides push you to your literal limits.
There are breathtaking tours, meant to dazzle and amaze.
And then there is the Tour of Andaman—India’s most scenic cycling tour through beaches, rainforests, and historic landmarks.
Entering its 5th edition, the tour is about to hit new highs. This year, we bring you a bold new challenge: 150 km on island roads only, a segment that not just robs your breath, but your legs too during the climb. But it’s not about the mileage, it is about who you meet, what you see during the journey, and how you feel while getting there.
Where the Journey Begins: Through Air, Land & Sea
The Andaman Tour is unique for being the only cycling tour globally that incorporates flying, sailing, and riding a bike over the islands.
- Flying into: Port Blair,
-Riding the bike from the southern tip to the northern tip of the Andaman,
-Sailing back from North to South Andaman: To the ferry.

Words cannot describe the view you will have during the ferry ride, and the feeling of having finished everything you set out to do.
Day Breaks & History: Riding into the Present from the Past
From the starting point, we take you to ride the Cellular Jail, a noteworthy landmark famous for its history during India’s independence. The sight gives a sense of nostalgia because you are close to where the first Indian Tricolour was hoisted in 1943.
Andaman’s sunrise stands on the east, impatiently waiting to be chased, with the setting being timid. Andaman is famous for its early rising sun, so you can start your ride, rest assured that it will be early enough.
And off we go—riding along the coast, crossing over narrow bridges that go through rivers where mangroves meet the sea, and navigating through Jarwa reserves, all the while being observed from a distance by ancient tribes as the wheels of civilization spin into their world.
Using Both Brakes at the Same Time. The Andaman landscape is not modest. It undulates; it ascends; it challenges you.
Amidst a tapestry of endless tropical forests awaits Mount Harriet, the highest point in the South Andaman Islands, and we are sure you would love to conquer it. The climb is indeed a reward as you will be surrounded by dense tropical rainforests, light seeping through the clouds in fragmented ways, with birds singing from above.
The thrill of riding here is akin to manoeuvring through a vibrant artwork. The green canopy gives temporary relief from the blazing sun, accompanied by the rapid onset of tropical rains. All too soon, the sun re-emerges, warming both the roads and spirit in no time.

Every Day, A New Story. Each leg of this tour offers something new and exciting.
Bike rides across the ocean on the Austin Bridge are one thing, but hiking a cliff with a breathtaking view of the coastline is completely different. Shoal Bay 19 offers bike parking and secret stretches of sand that can be accessed through mangrove walks. During ideal weather, Havelock and Neil Islands are visible from afar.
Every turning corner has a unique tale to tell, every moment offers a different "wow."
Flavours of the Islands: What Fuels the Ride
Andaman is rich in food and nature, both filling your eyes and your belly.
- Spicy seafood must not be forgotten, especially when served alongside coconut.
- Simple treats can be bought from street vendors, and their smiles are guaranteed to be found right around the corner.
- And those tender coconuts... Resting during the sweltering afternoon while sipping a tender coconut under a cooling jersey is refreshing, especially if there’s a loved one nearby. When the sun begins to set after a long day and the water cools down, we gather around so we can share tales, jests, and discuss the adventures lined up for the next day.
More Than a Tour, It’s a Community

The Andaman people don’t just wave at you—they welcome you. Curious kids run alongside your bike, waving wildly. Locals cheer you on. The stays offer warm hospitality. And every rider becomes a part of a tribe, united by the road and the ride.
Camaraderie exists in pushing the pedals uphill together. There’s joy in riding downhill with the sea beside you. And there’s magic in sitting down at dinner every night, salty, tired, and happy.
So, Why Ride the Tour of Andaman?
Because riding is not about distance travelled—it’s about uncovering new treasures.
Because it’s not just a challenge — it’s a celebration.
Because every kilometre is a reward — a view, a smile, a taste, a recollection.
