Great Andaman Triathlon!!

The Great Andaman Triathlon is making its debut in 2024 and we at Team Parikrama, the host of Tour of Andaman since 2019 are excited to present the idea of a festival of events.  The Great Andaman Triathlon combines Half Iron, Olympic, and Sprint distances along with 10K and 5K runs.

We believe in encouraging endurance sports and developing Andaman with the potential of hosting endurance sports activities such as triathlons and swimathons.

This event will be one of a kind in the country and Andaman in particular. It is the first Andaman Half-Iron distance triathlon to also feature an open-water sea swim.  The athletes are assured of the most astounding terrains to experience which is to test their endurance, temperament, and physical and mental limits.

Day 0: Saat Samundar Paar!!

Arrival at the venue: Refresh and relax. 

The color palette of a few hundred shades of blue and green will cause you to wax lyrical, the second you set foot into Andaman's tropical terrains. We recommend you a window seat as it is a visual treat to the eyes. The touchdown minutes are an adrenaline rush without a doubt and the eyes look for new friends to make and the mind thinks of the unknown.

Times are allocated on a first come/first serve basis. Each time slot is limited in its capacity. You will be required to come during your selected time. Please note you do not need to arrive at the start time, rather you can come anytime within your chosen time slot with the service provider. 

PreTour Briefing Followed by Dinner: 07:00 to 09:00 PM

You get to meet the team and strangers who turn out to be your friends over the days you spend on the tour. Get accustomed to the weather – be surprised, the sunrise here is at 05:00 AM and sunset at 05:00 PM, not something you get to experience on the mainland.

Day 1: The D-Day

Your excitement meets the real Experience. The registrations are open from 4:00 AM in the morning as per the event scheduled. Times are allocated prior and all the participants will be intimated. Please note you do not need to arrive at the start time, rather you can come at a time scheduled for the event. The event flag-off is at Marina Park. Today you get to see Tiranga Memorial which commemorates the first tricolor which was hoisted in 1943 by Subhash Chandra Bose.  ride towards the scenic sunset point in Andamans Chidiyatapu which is also a biodiversity hotspot. The beautiful tarmac roads passing through the coastal line give some of breathtaking views. As we approach Chidiyatapu there is a sudden drop in the temperatures as we enter the evergreen forest area. Riders get to experience cycling along the serene beaches and also the evergreen forest on the stunted hills of Andamans. Support stations would be placed every 15 to 20 KM depending on the terrain and weather conditions.

• While we try to create luxury - Travel is a pleasure on the trip. The locations that we host are remote places and we do our best to arrange the basic facilities. The goal is to be outdoors.
• The Food that shall be provided will be Basic Veg/Non-Veg Food.
• Make use of bin - Put Litter in its place, do not trash your travel.
• Team Parikrama shall not be responsible for any of your belongings, valuables, jewelry, etc.  Kindly take care.
• In the case of traffic delays or breakdowns, expect a little delay in reaching the destination.
• The itinerary is subject to the weather forecast.
